What is color? It’s a tough question. For centuries, there have been debates about the “true” nature of color. Yet we all know what it means to experience reds, greens, blues and so on.
The most common colors in the world are red, yellow and blue. These are known as “primary colors.” It is easy to mix these three primary colors together to make other colors. For example, mixing a little bit of blue with yellow will create a green color. Mixing just a tiny amount of green with red creates an brown or gray; whereas if you mix all three primaries together, it makes black.
Lastly, mixing just one primary color and white will result in the other two primaries: purple (blue + red) or orange (yellow + red).
